In the second of two strikes on Khan Sheikoun, Idlib, on June 26th, two member of the White Helmets were reported killed and up to four more injured.

The strike allegedly came preceding another airstrike which, according to Idlib Plus, “targeted the Syria civil defense team while trying to aid those wounded” in the initial strike.

Enab Baladi said two were killed and three more injured.

Syria Direct reported: “Two members of the Syrian Civil Defense were killed today, Wednesday, when their vehicle was targeted in the city of Khan Sheikhoun in the southern countryside of Idlib with an air strike.

Ahmed al-Sheikho, a civil defense spokesman, told Syria Direct: ‘A Russian plane targeted an ambulance belonging to the Civil Defense, killing two of our members and wounding four others.'”

Fresh Syria added that “the warplanes of the Russian aggression directly targeted the civil defense team with an air raid with vacuum missiles, after they arrived to inspect a previous targeting site for the same aircraft, which caused the death of volunteers and wounding four others, one of them in a serious condition, who were transferred to nearby hospitals.”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported three killed, two of which White Helmets.
