Up to three civilians were reportedly killed in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on the town of Ma’arat Harma, Idlib governorate, on July 2nd, 2019, according to local sources. At least one other civilian was wounded.

@AleppoAMC tweeted that “a civilian was killed in an airstrike on the town of Ma’arat Harma in the southern countryside of Idlib.”

Several sources, such as Step news and Syrian Network for Human Rights, reported the death of “Mohammed Salloum Al Kan’an from the town of Ma’arat Harma, south of Idlib, as a result of intensive raids by warplanes on the town”, while two other sources reported the deaths of three civilians and stated that others had been wounded. @SyriaCivilDefe reported “two martyrs and two injuries”.

@shabablatamni reported that SU-22 regime warplanes targeted the outskirts of the town with missiles. According to Step News Agency, the incident took place in the afternoon.

While several sources, such as the Syrian Network for Human Rights and Resala Post, attributed the airstrike to the Syrian regime, other sources, including Enab Baladi, blamed Russia. Others pointed to both Russia and the Syrian regime.
