A civilian was killed and an unknown number of others were injured in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrikes on the city of Kafar Nabil, Idlib governorate, on July 22nd, 2019, according to local sources.

@ShahbaPress reported “one martyr and wounded civilians as a result of air raids on the city of Kafar Nabil.” Shaam News described the attack as “indiscriminate shelling” and reported the use of “high-explosive missiles”.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights attributed blame to the Syrian regime and reported that Khaled Yasser al Othman, a second-year student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, was killed by one of the missiles. According to Ayham Al Karaji, the young man was killed in his home.

@yaseralsaleem and @IdlibPlus also reported “a martyr and wounded in the brutal Syrian-Russian bombing of Kafar Nabil a short while ago”, but neither specified the number of wounded civilians.

While some sources blamed the Syrian regime, others, such as Radio Fresh and @mos3abJbban, pointed to Russia. Some sources, including Edlib Media Center, attributed blame to both Russia and the Syrian regime.
