Between two and three civilians died and 12 more were wounded in an alleged Russian or regime airstrike on Kafr Aouid, local media reported. Most sources blamed the regime, though there was also a report that Russia had been active over the area and a tweet from @ahmaad_yosef identified Russian planes as being responsible.

According to the White Helmets: “Three civilians were killed and 12 others were wounded, including women and children, in an air strike by warplanes that targeted the popular market in Kafar Awaid town in Idlib”. A tweet from @HadiAlabdallah also reported that three civilians had died but did not give a figure for how many were wounded, referring to “several wounded.”

A tweet from @jisirtv reported that two civilians were killed but referred to that count as a preliminary result.

A graphic video posted by @M25hLAkKS2ra6WD shows the bodies of two male civilians killed in the airstrikes. Images posted by Mohammed al Shami on Facebook show an injured child and at least one injured man.

A Facebook post by Alaa Moughlaj, who identified themselves as a cousin to the parents of two civilians killed, named two of those killed as Omar Mustafa Moughlaj and Jamil Akram Moughlaj. A tweet from @FSLA2011 added that Jamil was a student studying at the Faculty of Human Medicine at the University of Idlib.

The White Helmets added that one of its volunteers, Adnan Maglaj, was injured in the strike.

Images from @blaas083 and @NagiNajjar in addition to videos posted by @ufuk_sy and @syrian191124 show the smoke clouds above the town resulting from the airstrike. Images posted by Mohammed al Shami on Facebook show damage and destruction to buildings and fires.

According to a Facebook post by Mohammed al Shami, the town of Kafr Aouid was bombed by 6 missiles at once.
