At least three civilians, reportedly from the same family, died and up to 10 more were wounded in an alleged regime or Russian airstrike on Al Kafeer village, local media said.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights “documented the death of three civilians of the same family including a women, in addition to the injury of four others of the same family, including three female citizens, in airstrikes carried out by regime’s warplanes on Monday morning on Al Kafeer village”.
A tweet from @Ahmad_1alshble named the civilians killed: Hassan Yasser Kurdi, Misbah Yasser Kurdi, and Heba Yasser Kurdi – all three were identified by Jisr Al Shoughour deaths as being brothers. The civilians injured were named as well: Muhammad Saleh, Rima Musa, Shahd Yasser Kurdi, and Souria Yasser Kurdi.
Shaam reported “the warplanes of the regime targeted with air strikes on the village of Al-Kfir in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shughour, which caused the fall of three martyrs from one family, wounding others, as the civil defense teams responded to the bombing site and recovered the victims and aid the injured.”
The Syrian Network for Human Rights, also blaming the regime, said that two children were among those killed. Zaman Al Wasl additionally reported that two children were killed and “four others, including women, were wounded, as a result of an air strike carried out by “Su24” warplanes that launched from the “T-4” airport and bombed the town of “Al-Kufir” near the city of “Jisr Al-Shughour”, west of Idlib.”
Shahba Press put the death toll at four with ten more wounded.
Various sources identified both artillery and airstrikes as being carried out on Al Kafeer village.
Local Coordination Committees Syria and @SyrianCoalition were among sources blaming Russian warplanes. @SyrianCoalition said that both Russia and Assad were responsible while other sources blamed the regime.
