At least three civilians were injured in alleged regime/Russian artillery strikes on the town of Badama on November 12, 2019.
The Syrian Civil Defense told Smart News “three civilians were wounded as a result of the shelling of the town of Badama of the area of Jisr al-Shughour with five artillery shells, where his teams worked to rescue the wounded to nearby medical points.” They also added that “local sources pointed out to “Smart” that the artillery shelling on the town of Badama came from the regime forces stationed in the Kurds Mountain in Latakia province.”
A tweet from @spc_fr also reported that “three civilians were wounded by artillery shelling by the regime forces targeting the town of Badama in the western countryside of Idlib.”
Jisr Media Center named the civilians injured: Abdullah Rajal, Shaher Barodi, and Qutaiba Sheikh.
Zaman Alwasl identified the areas that were struck with shelling as residential neighborhoods. Baladi News pointed out that the shelling resulted in extensive destruction to civilian property.
The majority of sources attributed the artillery shelling to the regime. However, a tweet from @HadiAlabdallah identified Russia as responsible.
