Airwars assessment
Up to three civilians were reportedly killed in alleged Russian airstrikes that caused fires on the Arba’ayn mountains in Idlib governorate, Syria, on November 17th, 2019.
While most sources claimed that three civilians had been killed, several others reported that only two had died. @Sy24ria stated as the only source that no casualties were suffered. IdlibPlus identified the casualties as men.
The attack was conducted by several planes and consisted of multiple raids according to most sources. @NagiNajjar reported “8 consecutive raids” with vacuum missiles, while IdlibPlus reported nine air strikes. Video and photo evidence documented the impacted area and the Syrian Civil Defense recovering bodies from the rubble.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
