As many as three civilians – a woman, her son and an infant – were killed and as many as nine others, including multiple members of the same family, were injured in an alleged Russian or Syria regime strikes on the town of Jazraiya, Aleppo Governate on the evening of December 4th 2019, according to local media.

Three sources reported that Hassan Abu Jadeea and his mother Ruqaya Al-Afash were killed in the strike. Hassan was killed instantly while Ruqaya was taken to hospital where she later died, according to Jesr Press.

SMART News Agency and @ShahbaPress both reported that a woman and a man had been killed. The remaining sources said the pair were mother and son or described the male victim as either a young man or a child.

@salwabintami reported that a girl was killed in the strike. @Syriaaaaidlb uploaded an image of an infant who they say was killed by a Russian airstrike.

Jesr Press and the Aleppo branch of the Syrian Civil Defense both provided corroborating names of five people injured: Ghadeer Abu Jadeea 9 months (F), Waad Abu Jadeea 21, Mona Abu Jadeea 19 (F), Ghadeer Abu Jadeea 18 (F), Heba Abu Jadeea 14. Jesr Press provided the names of three additional persons injured: Hussain Abu Jadeea 7, Mahmoud Abu Jadeea 8, Rahaf Abu Jadeea 5.

@ShahbaPress Tweeted: “A woman and a man were killed and a baby girl and four girls, all from the same family, were injured in airstrikes on Jazraiya town of Aleppo southern countryside.”

The majority of the sources said Russia was responsible for the strikes. Several sources said Russian airstrikes were followed up by artillery strikes by the Syrian regime.

A correspondent for Radio Al-Kul said: “Two warplanes took turns bombing the town of Jazraya, coinciding with dozens of rocket and artillery shells targeting the town, which led to the death of a woman and her child, in addition to extensive destruction of civilian homes.”

@ShbabWsbayaAdlb reported: “The death toll in the village of Jazaraya in the southern countryside of Aleppo has risen to two martyrs (a woman and a child) and about 8 injuries, as a result of the missile and artillery bombardment of Assad’s gangs, and the aerial bombardment of the Russian warplanes on the village.”

Both the Step News Agency and Smart News Agency reported that artillery fire originated from Syrian regime positions in the village of Al-Wasita.

Two sources @Ahmad_1alshble and @blaas083 said cluster bombs were used in the strike. @Ahmad_1alshble  said 30 missiles were used in the strike.
