A child was killed and at least four other civilians injured in alleged Russian or Syrian regime airstrike on Khan As Subul in Idlib on December 19th, 2019 according to local sources. The child who lost his life was identified as Abdul Ghani Khaled al Ramadan.

While the majority of sources reported the death of one civilian, Masrawy quoted a source confirming “the killing of 3 civilians in the town of Khan al-Subul and the injury of 11 others”. Baladi News reported instead that four civilians were injured.

LCCSY reported that the strike was conducted at 11:22 AM. Most local sources attributed the strike to Russian warplanes. TRT Arabia, however, blamed both Russian and Syrian regime belligerents for the attack.

According to Arabic RT quoting a local source, “Syrian warplanes targeted the terrorists in (..) the outskirts of Khan Al-Sabil, (…), which resulted in the killing of many of them, wounding others and destroying their military equipment”.

A video shows the White Helmets during their rescue operation in the aftermath of the attack, carrying a motionless body to the ambulance. Other video footage shows the destruction of houses and rubble covered in blood.
