On Sunday 23rd April 2023, during the daytime, a woman and her two children were injured by a detonator contained in the remnants of a bomb in Badama, a town in northwest Syria. It is unclear who was responsible for the explosive as there are thousands of unexploded ordnance scattered across Syria from the Syrian regime and Russian forces.

Both the Syrian Civil Defence Force and local source Mohammed al Ashkar (@alashkar.m) reported that the woman and her children were treated on site and then moved to a local hospital. There was no mention from either on the severity of their injuries.

Neither source was able to confirm the identity of the belligerent and no group has claimed responsibility, though it is likely a consequence of systematic bombing campaigns by the Syrian regime and its Russian allies. Neither has released a statement on the incident.
