On the evening of Tuesday, November 14, 2023, an artillery strike with contested responsibility allegedly perpetrated by Syrian regime forces or the Russian military on residential neighbourhoods in the village of Afes in Idlib, Syria, injured a woman and a girl.

The names and further details about the civilians injured in the strike and the extent of their injuries were not provided by the sources available to Airwars.

While Watan and Hurrya Press attributed the strike to Syrian regime forces, Syria Live and Al Mohrar attributed the strike to Russian forces. Al Mohrar reported in a Facebook post that a Russian missile launcher in “the vicinity of the town of Afes” was the source of the artillery shelling, while Syria 14 reported in another Facebook post that Syrian regime forces carried out the shelling.
