Airwars assessment
Up to seven civilians including women and children died in an airstrike on Saraqib, according to local sources – though reports are conflicted as to whether this was the work of Russia or the Syrian regime.
LCCSY reported that one civilian died and several more were injured in an alleged Russian airstrike.
Fresh Syria also blamed Russia for the death of one non-combatant and the injury of ten more in six raids.
Other sources that said Russia was responsible included Smart, who put the death toll at two, with seven more wounded.
However, other reports blamed the regime. Qasioun said warplanes belonging to Assad killed four civilians, injuring dozens more – including women and children.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights tweeted an image of the remains of a cluster bomb, which it said had been dropped by a regime warplane.
Radio Al Kul reported that both Russian and the regime had carried out raids, while some other sources didn’t identify the culprit.
A video report by Orient news showed destruction of a house following a strike by a missile from a warplane.
The eye witness says that he rushed into the house after it was hit and saw that his mother had been killed. He adds that three other women, who were his neighbours, also died.
Another eye witness confirms that the building struck was a residential house.
