Airwars assessment
On Monday, December 25, 2023, a civilian was reportedly killed by an alleged Turkish airstrike in the grain silos area to the east of the town of Qamishlo in northern Syria. According to Watan News, the victim was “in the vicinity of a mill in the grain silos” when the strike occurred.
The identity of the civilian who was killed has not been reported at the time of writing.
Anha News reported that the bombing caused “material damage”, and photos posted by the same source show dark smoke coming from the site where the attack presumably happened.
Rudaw News said that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported “hearing explosions”.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Turkish military.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
