On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, a 15-year-old boy named Ali al-Suhail was killed after he was run over by a Turkish armoured vehicle in the city of Tal Abyad, located in the countryside of Raqqa in Northeastern Syria.

Ali had black hair as seen in a picture of him standing in front of a shuttered store shared by multiple sources such as FOX press and Human Rights Organization – Afrin on Facebook.

According to Alyaum TV, the child died immediately. The Turkish armoured vehicle reportedly did not stop after it hit Ali which sparked widespread popular resentment, local witnesses told FOX press.

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the incident to the Turkish military.
