On Thursday, October 24th, 2024, two civilians were injured as a result of alleged Turkish artillery shelling on the village of Tal Susan and the vicinity of Sardam Camp in the region of al-Shahba, Aleppo Governorate, Syria.

A 65-year-old man named Ahmed Marwan Ahmed was injured as a result of the incident. Hogir Necar on Facebook and ROJ News both uploaded a photo of Ahmed, a slender elderly man with gray hair and a gray beard, raising the “victory sign” whilst on a hospital bed. The severity of Ahmed’s injuries was evident in the photo, and ROJ News uploaded a second photo showing Ahmed’s injuries to a greater extent.

In addition, it was widely reported by the likes of Rojava News and ANF News that there was a second civilian injury but the victim remained unidentified in details on the incident.

Where sources attributed the strike to a belligerent, they were unanimous in identifying the Turkish military as responsible for the attack.
