On October 25th, 2024, at least three women were injured due to a bombing attack orchestrated by the Turkish military in the Kargeha Zozan cheese and dairy factory located in the city of Derik, also known as Al-Malikiyah, in the Jazira Canton, al-Hasakah region, Syria.

According to local media, the three women worked in the factory and one of the victims was seriously injured although no further details regarding the other victims were disclosed.

All the sources indicated the Turkish military was responsible for the attack.
