On Thursday evening, 6 February 2025, a Turkish drone allegedly struck a civilian convoy of protesters from Kobani heading to the Tishreen Dam, south of Manbij in the Aleppo countryside of Syria. The strike reportedly injured 14 civilians, including at least two women.
Early reports from Hawar News, ANF, Ronahi TV, and Alyaum TV put the initial injury figure at three civilians after a Turkish occupation drone hit the protesters as they demonstrated to “protect the dam and condemn the occupation’s attacks.” Later that evening, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and Kobani al-Hadath raised the toll to 14 injured, stating that the attack had targeted a “popular convoy from Kobani heading to the dam in support of the Syrian Democratic Forces.” Those wounded were transferred to hospitals in Tabqa and Raqqa for treatment.
Facebook account Kobani.
