On Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, a civilian was injured as a result of shelling that was allegedly carried out by the Turkish military. The incident took place in the village of Malha, which is located in the countryside of Sarrin in the Euphrates canton of Syria.

At the time of writing, Hawar News, Ronahi TV and ANF News detailed that there were no updates on the health of the civilian. There was a plethora of similar reports that were uploaded to Facebook by the likes of @Kobani Madlom, @Kurdish Human Rights and @East of Forat.

Hawar News also reported that the village of Malha was subjected to shelling from heavy weapons by subjects of the Turkish military. A photograph uploaded on Facebook by @Haval Seido depicted one of the incidents of shelling in the region. It showed a plume of smoke rising from a rural settlement.

A range of sources provided repetitive information regarding the strike and the resulting civilian harm. As a result, the status of the strike has been deemed as a “single source claim” and the civilian harm grading has been deemed as “Weak” until more information comes to light.
