Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday that operations at several energy facilities across the Kingdom have been disrupted following recent Iranian attacks during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted an official source at the Ministry of Energy as saying that "vital energy facilities in the Kingdom have been subjected to multiple attacks recently, including oil and gas production, transportation, and refining facilities, as well as petrochemical facilities and the electricity sector in Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Yanbu Industrial City... resulting in the disruption of several operational processes at key facilities within the energy system," noting that "the Kingdom's production capacity has decreased by 600,000 barrels per day."

أعلنت السعودية الخميس أن عمليات التشغيل في عدد من منشآت الطاقة في أرجاء المملكة توقفت إثر الهجمات الإيرانية التي استهدفتها أخيرا خلال الحرب في الشرق الأوسط. ونقلت وكالة الأنباء السعودية (واس) عن مصدر مسؤول في وزارة الطاقة قوله إنّ "منشآت الطاقة الحيوية في المملكة تعرضت لاستهدافات متعددة مؤخرًا، بما يشمل مرافق إنتاج البترول والغاز والنقل والتكرير، ومرافق البتروكيميائيات وقطاع الكهرباء في مدينة الرياض والمنطقة الشرقية وينبع الصناعية ... نتج عنها تعطل عدد من العمليات التشغيلية في مرافق رئيسية ضمن منظومة الطاقة"، مشيرا إلى "انخفاض الطاقة الإنتاجية للمملكة بمقدار 600 ألف برميل يوميًا".

The Ministry offered its condolences, praying to God Almighty to have mercy on him, accept him among the martyrs, grant him Paradise, and give his family and loved ones patience and solace. The Ministry of Energy had previously announced that vital energy facilities in the Kingdom had been subjected to multiple attacks recently, including oil and gas production, transportation, and refining facilities, as well as petrochemical facilities and the electricity sector in Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Yanbu Industrial City. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of one Saudi citizen, an industrial security employee of the Saudi Energy Company, and injuries to seven other Saudi citizens working for the company. She confirmed that these attacks also resulted in the disruption of a number of operational processes in key facilities within the energy system. These attacks included one of the pumping stations on the vital East-West pipeline, which led to the loss of about 700,000 barrels per day of pumping volumes through the pipeline, which is the main route for supplying global markets during this period.
