Paramedic Ali Fadlallah Dheeb was reported killed and Hussein Abdel Ali Assaf was subsequently killed while Ali was responding to an earlier alleged Israeli strike (which had wounded Hussein) in the town of Shahour on 3 June 2026.
Ali had been responding to an earlier airstrike - recorded in incident ISLB030626c - and was injured in a second strike which "wounded several civilians and paramedics" including Ali and is recorded in this incident. At least two other paramedics arrived to rescue the victims but were struck for a third time, killing three of the paramedics including Ali (recorded in incident ISLB030626cb). Ali's injury, and the injury of other civilians and paramedics, has been recorded in this incident in addition to Hussein's death, while subsequent deaths or previous injuries are quantified elsewhere.
Mohammad Zreik memorialised Ali, describing him as a brother “though not born of my mother.” “My elder brother,” Zreik wrote, “forgive me if I fell short in my duty to you.” Mohammad Zreik also wrote that he “lived as a soldier defending the homeland” but was “martyred as a medic resisting for the sake of the people of the town,” while Risala News reported that the “Amal Movement [mourned] the martyrdom of the wounded fighter, Ali Fadlallah Dheeb.” “City weather” wrote that Dheeb was “the son of Fadlallah Dib [Dheeb]” who was “the first resistance fighter in the town of Shahour.” Based on this ambiguous language, Ali has been counted as a "contested" civilian/combatant until further information Is found.
Photographs of Ali show him as a bearded man with greying hair.
A funeral service was held for Ali, alongside the others killed in the series of strikes; pictures were shared by Mhamad Nahal.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the attack to Israeli forces.
