وأوضحت أن "جزءا من دماغ توفيق كان خارج رأسه بسبب الإصابة، ومشيت طويلا حتى وجدت أحد الأقارب وقدم لي المساعدة".
الأم تنقلت بين مستشفيي العودة وشهداء الأقصى لإنقاذ طفلها، وبينما تولى والده مهمة متابعته داخل المستشفى، عادت هي إلى المنزل.
وهناك أُبلغ الأب من المستشفى بـ"استشهاد توفيق" جراء خطورة إصابته، حسب الأم.
وتابعت "في مكالمة هاتفية، أبلغوني باستشهاد توفيق، وهذه كانت من أصعب اللحظات التي تمر عليّ، ولم أشعر بنفسي إلا داخل مستشفى العودة (بسبب الإغماء من صدمة الخبر)".
وأضافت "حينما استعدتُ وعيي أبلغوني أن توفيق عاد للحياة مجددا".
الأم لم تستوعب الصدمة، فحملت نفسها وهرعت نحو مستشفى شهداء الأقصى لتجد طفلها داخل غرفة العمليات.
حرمان من الحياة
واستكملت "بقي في غرفة العمليات لثلاث ساعات ونصف الساعة، وبعد خروجه أبلغنا الطبيب أنه أخرج شظيتين وحجرين من الدماغ، وأنه تم تحويله للعناية المركزة".
وختمت قائلة "هذه أهداف إسرائيل.. كان المطلوب إخراجه للعلاج كي يأخذ حقه في الحياة".
ومنذ 7 مايو/أيار الماضي، استولت إسرائيل على الجانب الفلسطيني من معبر رفح البري مع مصر (جنوب) بعد يوم من إعلان تل أبيب بدء عملية عسكرية في المدينة المكتظة بالنازحين، مما تسبب في إغلاق المعبر أمام خروج الجرحى للعلاج.
وإجمالا، خلفت الحرب الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة أكثر من 122 ألف فلسطيني بين شهيد وجريح، معظمهم أطفال ونساء، وما يزيد عن 10 آلاف مفقود، وسط دمار هائل ومجاعة أودت بحياة العشرات معظمهم أطفال.
