Rasha Matar, the mother of the martyred child Yamen, said that the occupation forces stormed the street where they live with tanks under a barrage of bullets and shells, while planes hovered overhead, forcing them to take cover inside their home.

The mother of the martyred child reported that the occupation forces raided their home. “They entered our house and ransacked the first floor. As they went up to the floor where we were, they began throwing grenades and firing bullets randomly at us. We were all crammed into one room—me, my children, my husband, my father, my mother, my sister, and her young children.”
Rasha Matar continued her testimony, saying, “The occupation forces reached the room and began shooting at my children, executing them right before my eyes. I didn’t know the bullets were hitting my children. They grabbed my father, threw him to the ground, and handcuffed him. They also handcuffed my husband and son, then blindfolded them and took them out of the room.”
The mother was shocked to find her youngest son, 12 years old, had been shot in the leg. She didn’t realize at the time that he had also been shot in the stomach. “I thought his injury was minor, while he was dying. I held him in my arms, and those were his last moments.”
In the same massacre, her other son, Mu'min, was shot twice and is currently receiving treatment after undergoing surgery to remove his kidney. Her third son, Ahmad, was also wounded by a bullet that struck his finger and then hit his aunt.
Muhammad Matar, the father of the martyred child Yamin, recounted how the occupation forces stormed their home, pointed their weapons at his family, and then took him and his uncle away, handcuffing them. They began interrogating them about the resistance. "They started asking us, 'Where are the resistance fighters? Where are the weapons?' We told them, 'We are displaced and we don't know anything.'" He added that the occupation soldiers threatened him, "If you don't tell us about the resistance fighters and their weapons, we will shoot your sons and make you grieve for them."
He indicated that after the Israeli forces withdrew, ambulances were unable to reach them, forcing them to rely on relatives to transport his sons to the hospital. “We carried my two sons, Mu’min and Yamin, in my uncle’s car to the hospital. When we arrived, Yamin was still alive, but he died just minutes later. My other son, Mu’min, underwent surgery to remove his kidney and another operation on his hand.”

Mu’min, who is hospitalized, recounted what they endured, saying, “I was shot in the shoulder, and the bullet exploded. Another bullet hit my stomach and exited through my side. My younger brother was killed; he was shot twice, once in the stomach and once in the leg. My aunt was also shot in the leg.”
Ahmed, the third child of the Matar family, said, “The first thing they did when they entered was shoot my brother, Mu’min, twice—one bullet in his leg and another in his abdomen near his kidney. وقالت رشا مطر أم الطفل الشهيد يامن، إن قوات الاحتلال اقتحمت الشارع الذين يقيمون فيه بالدبابات تحت وابل من الرصاص والقذائف، في الوقت الذي كانت فيه الطائرات تحوم فوق رؤوسهم من الأعلى، ما اضطرهم إلى الاختباء داخل بيتهم.

وأفادت أم الطفل الشهيد بأن قوات الاحتلال داهمت منزلهم “دخلوا إلى بيتنا وقاموا بتحطيم محتويات الطابق الأول، وأثناء صعودهم إلى الطابق الذي كنا موجودين فيه، بدؤوا في إلقاء القنابل وإطلاق الرصاص عشوائيا تجاهنا، ونحن كنا مكدسين في غرفة واحدة، أنا وأولادي وزوجي وأبي وأمي وشقيقتي وصغارها”.
وتابعت رشا مطر شهادتها قائلة “وصلت قوة الاحتلال إلى الغرفة وبدؤوا بإطلاق الرصاص تجاه أبنائي، يعدمونهم أمام عيني، وأنا لا أعرف أن الرصاص يصيب أبنائي، وأمسكوا بأبي وألقوه على الأرض ثم قيدوه، وأيضا قيدوا زوجي وابني ثم ربطوا أعينهم واقتادوهم خارج الغرفة”.
لتفاجأ الأم بإصابة ابنها الأصغر البالغ من العمر 12 عاما برصاصة في ساقه، ولم تكن تدرك آنذاك أنه مصاب برصاصة أخرى في بطنه “كنت أظن إصابته خفيفة، في حين أنه كان يموت، وضعته في حضني لتكون لحظاته الأخيرة بين يدي”.
وفي ذات المجزرة أصيب ابنها الآخر “مؤمن” برصاصتين، وهو يتلقى حاليا العلاج بعد خضوعه لعملية جراحية تم فيها استئصال كليته، إلى جانب إصابة الابن الثالث “أحمد” برصاصة أصابت إصبعه ومرت لتصيب خالته.

وأشار إلى أنه بعد خروج القوة الإسرائيلية، لم تتمكن سيارات الإسعاف من القدوم لإخراجهم، ما دفعهم إلى الاستعانة بأقاربهم لنقل أبنائه إلى المستشفى “حملنا الولدين مؤمن ويامن في سيارة عمي إلى المستشفى، عندما وصلنا كان يامن لا يزال على قيد الحياة، لكن ما هي إلا دقائق واستشهد، أما ابني الآخر مؤمن فخضع لعملية جراحية لاستئصال الكُلى، وعملية أخرى في يده”.

وحكى الإبن “مؤمن” الذي يرقد في المستشفى عما تعرضوا له قائلًا “أصابوني برصاصة في كتفي فانفجر، وطلقة أخرى في بطني خرجت من جانبي، وأخي الصغير استشهد أصيب برصاصتين إحداهما في بطنه والأخرى في ساقه، كما أصابوا خالتي برصاصة في ساقها”.
وقال أحمد الطفل الثالث لعائلة مطر “أول ما دخلوا علينا أطلقوا رصاصتين على أخي “مؤمن” رصاصة في ساقه وأخرى في بطنه ناحية الكلى، ثم أطلقوا النار تجاهي فأصابت إصبعي ومرت إلى خالتي فأصابتها، ثم أصابوا أخي الأصغر “يامن” رصاصتين استشهد الله يرحمه”.
وكان جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي أعلن أنه تمكن من استعادة 4 أسرى في عملية مركّبة في مخيم النصيرات وسط قطاع غزة، تم التخطيط لها منذ أسابيع، أسفرت عن مئات الشهداء والجرحى الفلسطينيين ومقتل ضابط في القوات الخاصة الإسرائيلية.
