God tested his parents' patience with their eldest son, Walid, last year, when he died of an illness, leaving his family heartbroken.

هذا توفيق.. وحيد والديه بعدما فارق الدنيا إخوته الثلاثة.
اختبر الله صبر والديه في بِكرهم "وليد" العام الماضي، فـ توفي مريضاً تاركاً خلفه قلوب أهله مكلومة.
لتأتي الحرب المسعورة فتسرق أختيه "شيرين ومرام" قبل آذان المغرب في نهار رمضان.
ومنذ ذلك الوقت وقلب والديه يكتوي ألم الفراق، وما كان يهون عليهم وجود "توفيق" صغيرهم الذي عَرِف الحزن مُبكراً على إخوته.
ولكن يبدو بأن اشتياقه لهم كان كبيراً.. كبيراً جداً لدرجة أن تختاره شظية في حضن أمه، حملوه حينها ليضعوه بجوار عشرات الشهداء اللذين ارتقوا في مجزرة النصيرات في الثامن من يونيو، ولكن بحركة من يديه أعطتهم إشارة بأنه ما زال على قيد الحياة.
وبعد خمسة أيام من الأمل بأن يعود توفيق لوالديه، ارتحل عنهم اليوم مُلتحقاً بإخوته الثلاثة، تاركاً والديه وأهله مفجوعين مكلومين كأهل غزة اللذين أصابهم الوجع في مقتل.
