The Kurdistan Region's Counter-Terrorism Directorate announced the deaths of a couple, Musa Anwar Rasul and Muzhda Asad Hassan, after an Iranian-launched explosive-laden drone struck their home on the outskirts of Erbil early Tuesday morning, April 7, 2026. Authorities described the attack as a "war crime," part of an escalation that included nearly 500 attacks in a single month, stemming from the regional conflict between Iran on one side, and the United States and Israel on the other.
