Chabahar Janglook; From house fires to ammunition falling on civilians
This is Janglook; one of the oldest and most deprived neighborhoods in Chabahar city. Hundreds of Baloch families have lived in this area for years; a neighborhood that is located next to the oil company, the Ports Organization, and other government and military centers. A neighborhood that has repeatedly affected the lives of its residents.
Janglook is not just a poor neighborhood. Its geographical location in the heart of Chabahar and its proximity to sensitive centers has made this area one of the points of interest in development plans and land disputes.
On May 8, 2020, an intentional fire set by IRGC agents engulfed all the houses in Janglook’s Kapri. About 700 families lost their homes and all their possessions in a short period of time.
After a fire broke out in the Jangaluk neighborhood of Chabahar, Abolfazl Shahraki, a member of the IRGC’s intelligence forces, confessed to deliberately setting the neighborhood on fire.
Six years later, Jangaluk was back in the news. This time, after US strikes on nearby military bases sent a wave of explosions and debris into the neighborhood, damaging homes and killing at least one Baloch woman.
For many, Jangaluk is just the name of a neighborhood; but for its residents, it is a story of years of poverty, oppression, loss of homes and victimization amid conflicts they had no part in shaping.

جنگلوک چابهار؛ از آتشسوزی منازل تا سقوط مهمات بر سر غیرنظامیان
اینجا جنگلوک است؛ یکی از قدیمیترین و محرومترین محلههای شهر چابهار. صدها خانواده بلوچ سالهاست در این منطقه زندگی میکنند؛ محلهای که در کنار شرکت نفت، سازمان بنادر و دیگر مراکز دولتی و نظامی قرار گرفته است. همجواریای که بارها زندگی ساکنان آن را تحت تأثیر قرار داده است.
جنگلوک تنها یک محله فقیرنشین نیست. موقعیت جغرافیایی آن در قلب چابهار و نزدیکی به مراکز حساس، این منطقه را به یکی از نقاط مورد توجه در طرحهای توسعه و مناقشات بر سر زمین تبدیل کرده است.
هجدهم اردیبهشت ماه ۱۳۹۹، آتشسوزی عمدی که توسط عوامل سپاه انجام شد، تمام خانههای کپری جنگلوک را دربر گرفت. حدود ۷۰۰ خانواده در مدت کوتاهی خانه و تمام دارایی خود را از دست دادند.
پس از آتش سوزی در محله جنگلوک چابهار، «ابوالفضل شهرکی» از نیروهای اطلاعات سپاه به آتش زدن عمدی این محله اعتراف کرد.
