He continues, "Only a few minutes had passed before an Israeli force stormed the house and started smashing the contents of the first floor. When they ascended to the floor where we lived, they began throwing grenades and firing bullets indiscriminately. We were crammed into a single room - my father, mother, brothers, and me. Also with us in the room were my grandfather, grandmother, uncle, aunt, and her young children. The soldiers pointed their weapons at us then handcuffed my father and uncle before they began screaming at them hysterically: ‘Where are the weapons? Where are the resistance fighters? Where are the hostages?” My father told them that we were displaced, and knew nothing about what they were talking about. The commander replied, “If you don’t tell us about the resistance fighters and the weapons, we will shoot your children and make you regret it.” The soldiers led my uncle, father, and grandfather outside after blindfolding them. Then they began to carry out the threat and opened fire with their weapons towards me and my siblings. They shot my brother Mo’men in his shoulder and kidney, and my brother Ahmed in his hand. They also shot my aunt in both her legs. As for me, I was struck by two bullets: one in the leg, and another in the abdomen. Afterwards, the soldiers left the house, but they prevented ambulances from reaching us for several hours. Those hours were enough for me to bleed out my life, along with my blood.”
