Two civilians, including at least one paramedic, were reportedly killed and two others injured on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, when Turkish forces allegedly bombed an ambulance transporting injured people en route to the Kobani hospital on the Sarrin-Tishreen Dam road in the countryside of Aleppo, Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) initially reported the death of a driver and three injuries, but other sources, including ANF and Hawarnews, reported two casualties and two injuries the following day, noting that one of the injured succumbed to his/her wounds.

ANF and Hawarnews reported that the victims included the driver and a patient, while a medical worker and another patient were seriously wounded and were transferred to a hospital for treatment. The Facebook account of Arta.fm, referring to its correspondent in Kobani, claimed that two paramedics were among the injured.

The ambulance, belonging to Kobani hospital, had been on a humanitarian mission transporting two patients along the Sarrin–Tishreen Dam road at the time of the attack while @SerhildanJiya, in quoting SNHR, referred to the location as near the Tishreen Dam. Arta.fm Facebook account added a close-up image of the severely damaged ambulance, while other sources shared an image of the ambulance taken from afar.

Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Turkish military. Whilst most sources reported that the strike was carried out with a drone, the SOHR claimed that there was also an artillery shelling.
