At least one man whose civilian status is contested was killed while several others were injured by alleged US-led Coalition drone or airstrikes in the Al-Tamanah area of Idlib, Syria on September 28, 2025.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Hashem Mahyou al-Qudour (Hashem al-Raslan), who formerly worked with a faction that “pledged allegiance” to ISIS, was killed when his home in the Al-Tamanah area was hit by an airstrike likely carried out by the Coalition. Sham Network also reported on the death of Hashem, referring to him as a “former ISIS cadre” and adding that he was killed instantly. However, @jouhinanewssy referred to the him as an “ISIS member” while @Azad2725 said that he was a member of the Guardians of Religion (Hurras al-Din). Based on the inconsistency as to whether Hashem was an ISIS member or formerly worked with ISIS, his status has been recorded as “contested” civilian.
A tweet from @Rian_almasri mentioned that in addition to the death of Hashem, several others were wounded.
Where sources identified a belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the US-led Coalition, with Syria Live specifying that the strike was carried out by an MQ9 drone.
