Syrian News Desk reported that four civilians from one family were killed and six others injured in alleged Coalition strikes on Shabali.
The media opposition activist Ahmed Mohammed, told the news organisation that “the air force targeted the village with two raids. One of them hit a house, killing a woman and her three children, and seriously injuring their father. Five civilians were also injured after their home was hit by a rocket. Three other homes were partially damaged.”
According to Al Jazeera, six people were killed: “Sources told Al Jazeera that coalition planes targeted at dawn today on Thursday the national hospital in Manbij [80km east of aleppo]. Six people were also killed from one family following coalition raids on the village of al Shabali in the countryside near the town at dawn today.”
Manbij CoordinationCommittee also put the death toll at six: “father, mother and 4 children” as did Radio al kul: “The family of Khaled Sami made up of six people – father, mother and four children- killed in the village of al Shabali in the Manbij countryside following the crusader coalition bombing of the village.”
However, according to Aleppo 24, Khaled Jamal al Sami did not die but was injured, while his wife and four children were killed.
A tweet by Manbij News later put the death toll still higher at seven: “The international coalittion committs a massacre against an entire family from the village of al Shabali [Umm Adassa near Manbij] since yesterday. Seven people were killed, with only the father spared.”
The Syrian Network for Human Rights said: “International coalition forces warplanes bombed a residential house in Al Shabali village, located in southern Minbij city in Aleppo governorate suburbs, under the control of ISIS with missiles that killed five civilians, one woman and four children.”
In the second of their March 2020 civilian casualty reports, the US-led Coalition assessed reports that they were responsible for civilian harm in this strike as “non-credible”, stating that no Coalition actions were conducted in the geographical area at that time.
