Three civilians were reported killed and others injured during a reported Coalition targeted strike on an ISIL vehicle in Manbij.

According to Local Civil Defence, “International Coalition warplanes target an ISIL vehicle near Hal marketplace in Manbij city. Four were killed among them. But three martyrs among civilians were also reported, according to a local source.” Shaam News reported that a “number of civilians” were wounded.

In the second of their March 2020 civilian casualty reports, the US-led Coalition assessed reports that they were responsible for civilian harm in this strike as “non-credible”, stating that no Coalition actions were conducted in the geographical area at that time.

U.S.-led Coalition Strike Report
For July 6th-7th 2016, the Coalition reported that “Near Manbij, 11 strikes struck five separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed five ISIL fighting positions and two ISIL-used bridges and damaged a separate ISIL-used bridge… Near Manbij, two strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL vehicle.”

July 7, 2016 in Manbij, Syria, via Airwars report. After a review of all available records it was assessed that no Coalition actions were conducted in the geographical area that corresponds to the report of civilian casualties. 2997/CS249 37SDA070433
