In confused reporting, both Russia and the Coalition were blamed for the deaths of between 4 and 5 civilians at Marat (see also the next report.)

According to Euphrates Post (which like all sources did not attribute responsibility) the home of Thabet al Darwish was targeted by warplanes killing five family members: “two women and three children and there are seven injured.”

Free Deir Ezzor Radio said the dead and injured were all from the same family, naming four fatalities.

Reports of the incident mention the village of Marat (قرية مراط), for which the generic coordinates are: 35.31407, 40.23865. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.

For November 22nd-23rd 2016, the Coalition reported that “Near Dayr Az Zawr, four strikes destroyed three oil well heads, three vehicles, and two oil tanker trucks.”
