Reports emerged on December 15th of an alleged Coalition airstrike on the village of al Kour which killed three civilians. However the original source for the claim suggested that the event took place two days earlier.

According to Abd al Basset Ahmad al Khalaf, head of the political committee for local Syrian tribes, Habib al Mourabi and two of his family died when Coalition aircraft struck at al Kour, north west of Raqqa.

In an emailed response to a report submitted by Airwars on this and other incidents in December 2016, Coalition officials requested additional information concerning the alleged event.

After a review of available information it was assessed that no Coalition strikes were conducted in the geographical area of the reported civilian casualties.
