On 19 March 2026, a number of people were reported injured in an attack in Erbil, Iraq.The headquarters of the Kurdistan Freedom Party was reportedly struck by multiple drones, and sources identified that those injured were members. Facebook account ArabTV, citing Reuters, indicated that four drones had struck the building. In line with Airwars’ methodology, references to injuries in the plural have been categorised as at least two until further information comes to light.
The exact number of casualties was not found among sources. The number of injured has been estimated provisionally as two, as no source indicated a number or range, indicating only that “members” of the Kurdistan Freedom Party had been injured. X.com account @AJABreaking and news sites Erem News and Leb Talks reported the above, citing Iraqi media sources.
The Kurdish Freedom Party is both political and military in character, and the role of the victims within the party was not specified in the sources Therefore, the victims are assumed to be civilian as there is no indication of militant activities or participation. If any further information is found, this incident will be updated.
