One civilian male was killed in alleged Coalition airstrikes on Al Mayadin, local sources reported.
Of the three sources who documented the airstrike, only Jisr TV alleged that the Coalition was responsible, noting that “In the eastern countryside.. International coalition fighter jets launched air strikes on the outskirts of the Mayadeen, killing a civilian.”
The other known sources only mentioned unspecified ‘raids’ on the city, though both reported the civilian fatality.
The local time of the incident is unknown.

Attached to this civilian harm incident is a provisional reconciliation of the Pentagon's declassified assessment of this civilian harm allegation, based on matching date and locational information.
The declassified documents were obtained by Azmat Khan and the New York Times through Freedom of Information requests and lawsuits filed since March 2017, and are included alongside the corresponding press release published by the Pentagon. For July 1st-2nd, the Coalition reported: “Near Dayr Az Zawr, two strikes destroyed 20 ISIS oil storage barrels and six oil tankers.”
