Airwars assessment
Airstrikes hit Markada and the villages of Al-Dushisha, Rakhsh, Al-Zaynat and Al-Fadghmi, in the south of Al-Hasaka, according to local sources. The US-led Coalition was alleged to have conducted the strikes.
Specific casualty numbers were unknown, however, according to the Al Qaeda-linked group Tahrir Al Sham, which claimed that “the International Alliance launched air raids targeting the towns and villages of Markada, Dishisha, Kachkash, Zaynat and Fadghmi in the southern countryside, leading to the fall of a number of martyrs and wounded civilians.”
Hasaka Rasd also said there were reports of civilian casualties but provided no figures.
The alliance itself publicly declared no strikes in the governorate on this date, and later assessed for the claimed event that “The report contains insufficient information of the time, location and details to assess its credibility.”
The local time of the incident is unknown.
