Airwars assessment
One civilian was reported killed following airstrikes on Jadid Akeidat, 20km east of Deir Ezzor on the northern bank of the Euphrates River. Smart described the incident as “similar” to attacks carried out in the same governorate during a 24 hour period, by “Russian-made warplanes”.
There is limited information on the incident, and Airwars will amend the entry when new information arises.
The local time of the incident is unknown.
Geolocation notes
Reports of the incident mention the town of Jadid Akeidat (جدیدة عكیدات), for which the coordinates are: 35.254309, 40.355344. Due to the limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.

After a review of available information it was assessed that no Coalition strikes were conducted in the geographical area that correspond to the report of civilian casualties.

For October 4th – 5th the Coalition reported “Near Dayr Az Zawr, five strikes engaged four ISIS tactical units and destroyed four vehicles and a VBIED.”
