Airwars assessment
At least four members of one family including two children were reported killed in an alleged Coalition airstrike on Manbij.
Manbij Mother of the World gave a detailed description of the event: “Coalition planes committed a massacre yesterday against al Hunaifi family killing 4 people and leaving a number of wounded.
The house is near the bakery near al Khafsa garage and the old pharmacy in the neighbourhood. May god have mercy on the martyrs and heal the wounded.”
The Syrian Observatory also reported four civilians killed – reporting that overall some 56 non-combatants had now died in Coalition strikes on Manbij since May.
Other sources placed the death toll at six – including four children.
The local time of the incident is unknown.

Reports of the incident mention the city of Manbij (منبج), for which the generic coordinates are: 36.5216648, 37.9568624. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.

For July 3rd-4th the Coalition reported: “Near Manbij, 14 strikes struck 12 separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed 18 ISIL fighting positions, four ISIL tactical vehicles, an ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) facility, an ISIL VBIED, and six ISIL vehicles… Near Manbij, one strike struck an ISIL tactical unit.”
