In a series of raids on the towns of Rashid and Aweij in the countryside of Raqqa, an alleged Coalition airstrike struck Al Rashid Farm. Four civilians were reported killed in strike, including a woman, and six others were wounded.
In their June 2020 civilian casualty report, the US-led Coalition assessed reports that they were responsible for civilian harm in this strike as “non-credible”, stating that no Coalition actions were conducted in the geographical area at that time.

U.S.-led Coalition Strike Report
For January 4th 2017, the Coalition reported that near Ar Raqqah, nine strikes engaged five ISIL tactical units; destroyed six fighting positions, four oil tanker trucks, an oil pump jack, an artillery system, and a command and control node; and
damaged two supply routes.
French Military Strike Report
On January 5th 2017, France reported that since December 27th 2016, it conducted 18 strikes destroying 21 ISIL targets. In Iraq, 16 strikes were carried out, 11 of which were concentrated in the Mosul region. They targeted ISIL mortar positions, VBIED storage sites and barges. Five other strikes in Iraq were carried out in Stem and Euphrates valleys, towards Baiji and Haditha. Two strikes were carried out in Syria in the Raqqa region. Since December 28th, task Force Wagram has conducted 22 support missions.
