On Sunday, 1 March 2026, up to six people were reportedly injured by an alleged Iranian missile strike in Jerusalem, Israel. The strike took place on a highway on the outskirts of the city. One of those injured was identified as a man in either his 40s or 50s. No details are currently available regarding the other victims.
The Jerusalem Post quoted a Magen David Adom statement: “We observed a fall near a vehicle that sustained extensive damage. We provided initial medical treatment to a 45-year-old man in moderate condition, along with several others who were injured but in light condition.” The X.com account of United Hatzalah, a volunteer emergency services organisation, described these injuries as “shrapnel wounds to his limbs.”
The X account of Magen David Adom, @Mdais, wrote that the man was “approximately 50 years old.” The Times of Israel reported that “Magen David Adom says it is treating a man in his 50s in moderate condition and five others who were lightly hurt.”
Sources varied slightly regarding the number of people injured in the strike, and the nature of their injuries. News service Ynet News reported that “[Magen David Adom] spokesperson Zaki Heller said emergency teams were responding to at least one scene in the capital where six casualties were reported.” The Jerusalem Post reported that Magen David Adom reported five casualties, of whom an unspecified number were “suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder” symptoms, while the Israeli Police “stated six victims with varying degrees of injury were evacuated from the scene.”
The X account of United Hatzalah, a volunteer emergency services organisation, posted a video showing emergency services attending the scene, with debris visible across a section of the highway. The caption mentioned “several patients who sustained minor injuries.” Another post by @UnitedHatzalah, wrote that, other than the aforementioned 45/50-year old man, “United Hatzalah ambulance crews transported several individuals suffering from emotional shock in stable condition for further treatment at the hospital.”
Drone footage posted to Facebook by account ABS-CBN News shows a crater the width of approximately one lane of a highway, and a damaged car close by, as well as a number of emergency services vehicles and personnel in attendance. Another video, posted to Telegram by account WarFront Witness, shows the scene in the immediate aftermath of the strike, with the same car partially falling into the crater.
The Times of Israel and the Jerusalem Post both attributed this strike to the Iranian military.

UNITED HATZALAH SPOKESPERSON—JERUSALEM DISTRICT: United Hatzalah medical responders and ambulance crews provided emergency medical treatment on Sunday to a male patient, approximately 45 years old, who sustained moderate traumatic injuries following an impact in Jerusalem. The patient suffered from shrapnel wounds to his limbs. Additionally, United Hatzalah ambulance crews transported several patients who sustained minor injuries while suffering from anxiety to the hospital.
United Hatzalah EMT Avi Swissa reported: "We provided medical assistance at the scene of an impact in Jerusalem. A 45-year-old male was transported in moderate condition with shrapnel injuries to his limbs. Furthermore, United Hatzalah ambulance crews transported several individuals suffering from emotional shock in stable condition for further treatment at the hospital."
