Around 2 a.m. on 2 March 2026, multiple news outlets reported that three civilians were killed in an airstrike in the town of Al-Shahabiya, South Lebanon. A number of local sources specified that the civilians were women. None of the sources reporting on this incident provided the individuals’ names.
X account @syr_television was among the first to report the incident at 2 a.m. Images of the incident and a video shared by @kataeb_Ar on X show plumes of smoke emerging from where the strike took place, as well as the remains of damaged buildings.
Where sources identified a belligerent, the attack was attributed to the Israeli military.

Reports of the incident mention the town of Al-Shahabiya, also spelled Chehabiyeh (بلدة الشهابية), for which the generic coordinates are: 33.241694, 35.382495. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
