On Monday, September 23rd 2024, an elderly woman named Jamila Kamel Sakina was killed during the alleged Israeli bombing of the Town of Jabal Blat, in the south of Lebanon.
Several social media posts reported that Hajja Jamila Kamel Sakina was killed by an Israeli bombing of the town of Jabal Blat, along with an image of an elderly woman with a white hijab. A tweet from @zezebaydoun also identified Jamila’s death, referring to her as Umm Ali. No additional information was available as to the circumstances of the incident.
Most sources attributed the strike to the Israeli military.
