At least two civilians, a man and a woman, were injured in alleged Russian or regime artillery shelling on Maarzita on October 18, 2019 according to local sources.

According to a tweet from @thawrat111, “Civilians were wounded by artillery shelling of the Russian militia on the town of Maarzita in the southern countryside of Idlib.”

@brocarpress posted that “two civilians were wounded by artillery shelling of the Syrian regime” and @abo_aljod84 further defined those injured as “a man and his wife.”

In addition, “Farsh Online correspondent reported that the Assad regime forces targeted with heavy artillery the village of Maarzita in the southern countryside of Idlib, wounding a man and his wife.”

All sources identified artillery shelling as being used against the town of Ma`ar Zita. However, sources were contested as to whether Russia or the regime were responsible, with @NEDAAPOST and others attributing the strikes to Russia while @ShahbaPress and others blamed the regime.
