A number of civilians, including an adult man named Mustafa Abdullah Hassan, were injured on the evening of November 19, 2024, following an artillery shelling on the village of Harbal in Shirawa canton of Syria. The attack had been attributed to Turkish forces and their allied mercenaries, according to ANF News.

According to ANF News, Mustafa Abdullah Hassan was subsequently transferred to the hospital. ANF News had also shared an image related to the event. The image showed a middle-aged man with a beard lying in what appeared to be a hospital bed. His face had shown signs of fatigue and distress, with darkened areas under his eyes and an overall expression of weariness. He had been dressed in a light blue medical gown, and the background had included blue bedding, further indicating a clinical setting. The lighting had accentuated the seriousness of his condition, and his direct gaze at the camera had captured a moment of vulnerability. The image conveyed the aftermath of an injury or illness, with the individual appearing to recover or rest after receiving medical attention.

The shelling also reportedly caused material damage to the homes and property of the residents.

When belligerents had been identified, sources had attributed the responsibility for the attack to the Turkish military.
