On Saturday, 30 November 2024, an artillery shelling struck the village of Kondi Mazen in the Afrin countryside, Syria, resulting in the injury of a female child. Sources reporting the attack indicated it had been allegedly carried out by Turkish forces.
The strike was mentioned in several online articles published by local news outlets. Hawar News Agency reported that the shelling hit a car, injuring the child, who was later transferred to the hospital in Tal Rifaat for treatment. Firat News Agency (ANF) published a picture of the injured child, showing her in a red hoodie as medical personnel bandage her right arm.
All news agencies attributed responsibility to Turkish forces; no other information is available regarding the extent of material damage caused by the attack. However, Ronahî TV suggests it to be “significant”.
