At 16:40 local time, on Monday, January 8, 2025, one civilian, Khader Mustafa Abdo, was killed, and at least five others were reported injured following an alleged Turkish drone attack, striking a car repair garage in the city of Sarrin, south of Kobani, in the Aleppo governorate of Syria.
Multiple sources, including ANF, Hawar News Agency, SOHR, Foxpress, and Ronahi TV, stated that the strike hit a local car maintenance workshop and resulted in the death of a civilian mechanic working at the site. Hawar News Agency reported: “A car repair garage in the city of Sarrin, south of Kobani, was bombed at 16:40 by a Turkish occupation drone, which resulted in the martyrdom of a worker and the injury of five others.” Similar wording appeared across multiple Kurdish-aligned outlets.
