On the afternoon of Sunday, January 25, 2025, 14 identified civilians, including at least two women, were injured with varying degrees of injuries following an alleged Turkish drone attack which hit a gathering of civilians on the Tishreen Dam located in the vicinity of Manbij, east of Aleppo, Syria. The civilians gathered to protest at the dam against the ongoing attacks.
Initially, Hawar News and ANF News reported injuries among the protesters. ANF News accompanied its report with an image showing a group of men, with two of them holding an injured woman arm in arm, and the other three holding a wounded man. They were standing near a one-storey sand coloured house, apparently, an administrative building.
In a subsequent report, Hawar News documented the names of 14 injured civilians, including at least two women: Muhammad Mahmoud Muhammad, 21 years old, Mahmoud Tammo, 32 years old, Adham Bouzan Khalil, 20 years old, Fatima Ali, 18 years old, Suleiman Muhammad, 19 years old, Hadla Muhyiddin, Saleh Ali Sheikh Saleh, Saleh Omar, 60 years old, Jihan Khalil Hamid, 30 years old, Mahmoud Muhammad Walo, Maryam Bakki, Khalil Sheikhi, 50 years old, Joan Abdullah Ibo, and Shahrazad Muhammad.
The media outlet also added an image showing an injured woman being carried by two men near the same sand coloured building.
A video shared by Manbij News on Facebook showed the same woman being carried to an ambulance along with a number of other injured civilians, including at least one woman and a man. The loud screams of the injured can be heard, illustrating their pain.
Where sources identified the belligerent, all sources attributed the strike to the Turkish military.

Reports of the incident mention the Tishreen Dam (سد تشرين) to the southeast of Manbij (منبج), for which the generic coordinates are: 36.380841, 38.178591. Due to limited satellite imagery and information available to Airwars, we were unable to verify the location further.
