Raqqa Governorate: A child was killed when a Turkish suicide drone targeted a house in the village of Sakiro, in the countryside of Ain Issa, near Tal Abyad. This attack comes amid a continued escalation by Turkish forces in the region, and growing fears of an increase in attacks targeting civilians in northern and eastern Syria. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 35 airstrikes carried out by Turkish Air Force drones on areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration in northern and northeastern Syria since the beginning of 2025. These strikes resulted in the deaths of six people: one member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and five civilians, including a women's activist and a child. Ten others were wounded: seven civilians and three members of the SDF and its affiliated military formations. The drone strikes were distributed as follows: - Nine strikes in Aleppo, resulting in injuries to five civilians. -10 attacks in Hasakah resulted in the death of one SDF member and the injury of another, as well as the deaths of three civilians, including a women's rights activist, and injuries to two other civilians. -16 attacks in Raqqa resulted in the deaths of one civilian and one child, and injuries to two members of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish).
