In the days following an alleged ‘double tap’ attack on Nasser hospital, in which five journalists and 22 others were killed, Sky News released an investigation revealing new details about the incident, and framed the incident as part of a broader pattern.
Airwars has published at least 24 incidents that resemble double tap attacks – i.e. incidents of harm resulting from a follow-up strike or series of strikes following an initial attack, and appear to target rescue efforts.
In an interview with Sky News, Airwars’ Executive Director compared documentation around double tap attacks in Gaza with other conflicts Airwars has documented, noting that due to the intensity of Israel’s bombardment on Gaza, being able to identify and differentiate so-called double tap attacks from other waves of strikes has been a consistent challenge.
Nevertheless, Airwars was able to share a number of these incidents with Sky, which were featured in the reporting and listed below.
