#Follow-up | Rabi'a *Hasakah The two individuals arrested today by the "International Coalition" in the village of Rabi'a, Hasakah, are brothers: Saad and Musa'id al-Khashan. They are Iraqi citizens from the Shammar tribe, and due to kinship ties, they have been living for some time on the Syrian side of the border with relatives – as the Shammar tribe inhabits most of these areas in Iraq and Syria. The two young men are former members of the Islamic State (ISIS). According to sources in the area, the force that participated in the operation was the Peshmerga, not Iraqi forces affiliated with the Baghdad government.

Details of the Syria operation: Iraqi forces conducted an airborne operation inside Syrian territory, carried out by the tactical team of the Falcon Intelligence Cell within the Iraqi Intelligence Agency, as part of a precise security operation. The operation was executed through two simultaneous airdrops in the villages of Rabia and Iskenderun, located in the countryside of Syria's Hasakah Governorate, targeting individuals wanted by Iraq. An Iraqi airborne force participated in the operation, with technical support from the international coalition. Two Chinook (CH-47) and two Black Hawk (UH-60) helicopters belonging to the US Air Force were used, in addition to a drone for surveillance and reconnaissance. The operation resulted in the successful capture of the targets, who belonged to ISIS and were wanted by Iraqi intelligence agencies. The international coalition arrested two individuals today in the village of Rabi'a in the Hasakah countryside. They were identified as brothers Saad and Musa'id al-Khashan. The brothers, Iraqi nationals, had been residing with relatives on the Syrian side of the border for some time and are former members of ISIS. It is important to note that the force involved in the operation was the Counter-Terrorism Teams (CTGs) of the Peshmerga forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and not Iraqi forces affiliated with the Baghdad government.
