At least five civilian males and as many as seven were reportedly killed in alleged Coalition airstrikes near the Euphrates River in Raqqa.

Local sources reported that the men were killed in airstrikes targeting their cars as they tried to retrieve water from the river. Raqqa has been suffering from intermittent and recurring water outages.

All seven sources who reported the incident alleged that the Coalition was responsible.

For June 26th-27th: “Near Raqqah, 18 strikes engaged 15 ISIS tactical units; destroyed 13 fighting positions, two vehicles, a VBIED, a home-made explosives factory, and an ISIS headquarters; and damaged two fighting positions.” It additionally reported that “On June 26, near Raqqah, Syria, two strikes engaged an ISIS tactical unit and destroyed an IED belt.”
